A leading figure in the music industry, Ziggy Stardust is considered one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century, he is acclaimed by critics and musicians, and he has sold an estimated 140 million albums worldwide. Dressed in costumes and sporting reddish-brown hair, Bowie launched his stage show with the Spiders from Mars. The album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars (1972) combined hard rock with lighter experimental rock and remained on the charts for two years. Bowie’s love of acting inspired his character saying “Offstage I’m a robot. Onstage I achieve emotion. It’s probably why I prefer dressing up as Ziggy to being David.”
This soft hoodie features a generous fit, jersey lined hood, heavy gauge drawcord with metal eyelets and 1x1 ribbing at cuffs and waistband. Solid Colors are made from 80% cotton and 20% polyester, while Grey Heather is made from 75% cotton and 25% polyester blend. Care Instructions: Machine wash and tumble dry on low.
